The David Schlicker Stained Glass Studio, located in Portland, Oregon, has been in business since 1974. The studio's work has covered a seemingly endless range of design themes and produced windows for homes, businesses and churches from the Pacific Northwest to the East Coast, and, as far as Egypt. The founder, owner, and chief designer of the studio, is well versed in the history of stained glass and has created period pieces in Victorian, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Arts and Crafts, Gothic and Contemporary styles. He possesses a thorough knowledge of the work of historic stained glass masters. He is particularly familiar with the Povey Brothers Studio of Portland that gained national recognition in the early 1900's.
The studio’s showroom displays a large array of finished pieces - new and antique - for sale. Much of the work is custom designed, incorporating the preferences of the client, the style of the architecture, the function of the room, and specific issues such as the degree of light exposure, privacy desired, and cost.
